sweats day + recipe

So today is sweats day! I have dressed up everytime I go ride in the combine with Austin and I get dirty everytime... so I decided to go in sweats this time! OH YA! :D We'll see how it works.

Now I know you are probably all sick of seeing and hearing about this Chicken Spaghetti stuff.... haha. But I have had people ask me for the recipe via comments, texts, in person. So... Here is the recipe!! :D

CHICKEN SPAGHETTI

inspired by Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti... But I like to put my own little twist on all foods I cook so they are a little different :)

This makes 3-4 servings. :)

You'll need...

2 chicken breasts

1/2 pound of spaghetti.. break in half.

1/2 an onion

1 can of cream of chicken soup (or if you like mushrooms you can try cream of mushroom, but I used chicken.)

2 cups of cheese (you can use just cheddar, but I used cheddar, mozarella, and monterey jack and just grated each until I had 2 cups total.)

1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt, such as Johnny's or Lawry's... I just sprinkled it in and guessed how much 1/2 teaspoon was.

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to taste.... Again I just guessed. :)

Optional:

pimientos, green bell pepper... I didn't use them but if you'd like to you can. :)

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Add chicken to a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until the chicken is cooked. about 25-30 minutes.

3. Remove chicken with a slotted spoon and set aside to cool on plate. Remove 1 cup of broth from the pot and set aside.

4. Bring the remaining broth to a biol and add spaghetti. Cook it good, then drain the spaghetti and set aside.

5. shred or cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Then finely dice the onions.

6. Place cooked spaghetti in a large bowl. Add the cream of chicken soup, then add half the cheese, then add the onions and if you chose to have the optional stuff, put them in too.

7. Add the seasonings.

8. Finally add the chicken and broth. Stir together well then taste to check seasonings.

9. Pour the mixture into a baking dish (I used the corningware stuff.) and top with the reamaining cheese.

10. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until bubbly....

AND BAM!!! There you have it!

P.S. Another funny story today really quick. Last night Austin and I were looking up a book on his phone and when we were done I was like, "Austin where do you want me to put your phone?" So he was like oh just throw it on the ground....

So.. what would you think that meant??

Well I threw it on the floor alright and it made this huge THUD... haha.

But we had the lights off so we didn't know where it went, but I just started laughing and he was like, "WOW you definitely threw that on the floor. I'm suprised you didn't put a hole in the wall..." hhahahaha.

It was really funny :)

We both were laughing.

snacks + days

So First off...

Austin took this picture and told me to put it on my blog. haha.

He said it's the Amish Cake cousins.

He went home teaching and brought home a piece of vanilla Amish Cake to put by our Chocolate Amish cake. hahaha.

And we figured they are 5th cousins because 5 starts ago, they were the same start. haha. :)

Then my hubby also took this random picture of me opening the dishwasher.

I didn't even know he took it until I was looking at pictures last night! haha.

He's so funny :)

Then I just had to put up a picture of the chicken spaghetti I made! Austin loves it! :)

I like it a lot too... I just wish I didn't put as much onions in it that it called for because I don't like onions...

you're probably wondering now, "Well Aubree, why did you plant onions in your garden?"

Austin talked me into it, and they give a good flavor... I just don't like the BITING into an onion.. EWWW!!!!! haha.

(except f it's an onion ring.. I love those! I'm weird I know.. haha.)

But this spaghetti was MIGHTY TASTY!! YUM TO MY TUM!! :D

Last night for dinner, we just had a snack dinner.

I made some wrap bites!

which are super easy. Cream Cheese and the ranch powder mix stuff and mix it together and spread on tortilla shell.. then put lunch meat on top, roll it up, cut it up and BAM! You've got wrap bites! :)

Then I made Caramel Popcorn! and we watched Where the Red Fern Grows :)

It was my first time seeing it, and it may or may not have made me cry... that's for you to keep guessing :) haha.

But this is the caramel I made...

It's really easy too!

It's my family secret though.... if you'd like the recipe it might take a lot of begging...

:) But it is DELISH!!

Now.... here are some days....

I get up, get ready...

and then I take a picture or two to make sure I look fine.... haha.

My sister Sheena always teased me about it when we were stilll at home..

But now I bet she does it too because it works! haha. Just Kidding! I highly doubt she does :)

She just is always gorgeous and doesn't need a picture to prove it! haha. :)

Well today I got a little bored, so I started shaping my eyebrows because I haven't taken care of them since my wedding day, so they were a little out of control... haha. then I got sick of being inside, so I went outside and started taking A MILLION pictures for fun while hubby's at work! :)

I take pictures for fun and of everything if you couldn't already tell :) haha.

Ok... so first off, yesterday Primary was AWESOME! haha. :) little kids are so funny! :)

P.S. I have a really funny story to tell you really quick. So last night I was really tired and Austin was baling straw and I wanted to stay awake until he got home... well I was sitting there drinking water while laying down and then I was just holding it on me in case I wanted to drink more water, well I started to fall asleep and then I was out. Well you know how your muscles go weak when you fall asleep... ya. I let go of the water because I. was. OUT! haha. Well all of a sudden I feel water pouring on me! I wake up and my water had fallen on my face and got me SOAKED!!! haha. So I was just sleeping on the very edge of the bad because I didn't want to sleep in a puddle of water and I was too tired to try to clean it up. ha.

Well Austin got home at like 3 in the morning and he hops in bed and is like, "AUBREE Why is the bed wet??" haha. I woke up was like half awake, half asleep and was just laughing kinda mumbled. haha. And I told him and he wanted to cuddle with me so he didn't care about the puddle of water, he just slept in it!!! hahaha. :) Oh I love my handsome husband!! :D I felt bad though that he was sleeping in the water. ha.

Dessert Party!!!

Ok so here is the suprise you've all been waiting for!! :)

Last night, my mom, Rusten, Sheena, Tyler, Austin and I had a dessert party.

They came over and had some calzones(not dessert) haha.

And then our party began!

Sheena brought over Apple Crisp! It was SO SO SO delish!

And of course I had to pull out the Homeade Vanilla Blue Bunny Ice Cream to go with it!

That is the best!

And the Apple Crisp went great with it, and then of course Austin had to pull out the Caramel Sauce to go with his Apple Crisp. :)

It was so extremely great!

Then I made smores! But not campfire Smores.....

I bought a package of Toll House Nestle Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate Chocolate Chips and made the cookie recipe that was on the back of it.

Then instead of making cookies, I spread the cookie mix across the whole cookie sheet :)

And I baked it for like 15 minutes. :)

Then I bought Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme and cut the cookies into squares.

I put the marshmallow creme on the inside and put a few more chocolate chips on it. :)

Then I stuck the smore cookie on a plate and stuck it in the Microwave for 15 seconds AND whala!

It was SO good! definitely make it, and if you do, let me know what you think of them. :)

Also.... I finished putting together our bed frame and headboard! WOOHOO! :D

Isn't it lovely? :)

And tonight I am making my handsome husband some Chicken Spaghetti for din din!

Oh I am excited! :)

Friday Nights.

So last night was friday! woohoo!

Well I decided to make Calzones!

We were supposed to have friends over, but the friend couldn't get ahold of his date. haha.

Well it was fun making the calzones.

I feel like every day I'm getting better and better at cooking :)

So I needed an onion and Austin said he would get one from the garden and this is what he brought back in. :)

(we have huge onions AND our strawberries are growing! YAY!)

Then I made the pizza dough for the calzones and it said to stick it in a bowl and let it sit for an hour. Well I didn't realize how much it was going to rise so I put it in a tiny bowl and a little later I came in the kitchen and it was OVERFLOWING! hahaha. So I put it in a bigger bowl:

Then this is taking then out of the oven... I dont know why, but I enjoy taking pictures of food in the oven! haha. Probably because I want you to enjoy the sight as much as me when I first open that oven :)

THEN..... we bought fruit by the foot... and Austin was showing me how he ate them when he was little and he was eating his like a pig and I was like EWW.... haha. I didn't like boys that ate like a pig when I was little, so I was like, "I'm not sure if we would've gotten along as little kids!" haha. Which I was kidding :)

We both laughed!

So then I showed him how I ate mine sometimes. I ripped it off.

Then I Was like, "Or like this.."

And I did the following:

Put it on my thumb and then I realized that it was kinda sloppy too! haha.

But it was good! haha.

Austin was like, "That would just be weird sucking it off my thumb!" haha.

Oh Aust... You need to live a little! hahaha. :)

I love you babe!! :)

Then we went to the West Jeff High School Football Game, because my sister-in-law, Hannah, is on the cheer team so we watched her :) Then I helped chaperone a party at the Egbert's afterwards.

AND

I must say it was SUPER fun! haha.

My in laws and I played foosball and Kathryn and I whooped Kirk's bootay!! (not really... haha.)

Then we were playing around the world Ping Pong AND. IT. WAS. AWESOME!

I was diving to get the ball and sliding across the carpet! haha.

And all of us were so tired afterwards, but man was it fun! :)

I am MOST DEF doing that again! :)

I have a wonderful suprise for you tomorrow!!

My Packed Day. :)

So yesterday was a packed day!

I woke up. Made Amish bread and this time I tried a new flavor!

Chocolate pudding with chocolate chips!!! OH YA! :)

So then I walk outside to this site!!!

YIKES!!! Whenever there's a fire everything looks orange! If you can't tell what color the sun is.... here's another pic:

Ok... you still can't see it! But it was SO RED!! Like the color of Red Kitchen Aids!! haha. :)

Yes I love my red kitchen aid. lol.

Then Austin's trainer from the mish came over with his date and I made din din for them, but I forgot to take pictures! Sorry!

But here is a picture of the sink full of dishes to show that I was cooking ALL DAY! haha. :)

It was so fun! :) We had twice-baked potatoes, salad, smoothies, and Amish Cake! :)

And all four of us fit in the tractor and went on a ride because Brett (Austin's trainer) had never ben in a tractor and wanted to go in it! ha. :)

AND.... his dates name was Aubree too... so Austin kept getting confused and so he said, "OK we're calling my Aubree Aubs, and your Aubree Aubree." haha. :)

It was such a fun day!

Midnight Run + Engagements

Ok so last night Austin and I took a midnight run to Wal Mart.

We were shopping and when we bought the stuff, there were only like 2 workers.

Well it took forever and then we walk outside and see this...

(it's a little blurry sorry. ha.)

All the Wal Mart workers taking their smoke break!

It stunk so bad. haha.

But if you go to the Wal Mart by Olive Garden in IF you know Juan... the guy that is always the greeter when you walk in.

Well when we were walking in we saw him walking out and Austin said, "Wow you know it's late when Juan is getting off work!" hahaha.

Well then we saw him on this wall hahahha. We kinda had to hide to take this picture because they were all like staring at us. hahahhaa. :)

And.... here are my engagement pictures finally!

We took them in May and it was raining everywhere except where we took pictures! It was awesome! :)

Trip to Utah for...

So yesterday I took the quick trip to Utah like I said I was going to! :)

I took my grandma's car and I met up with my sister to get something for Tyler.

Then I met up with Tyler and we were off to the state of UTAH!

It was a fun drive down there. We just talked pretty much the whole time except when he was on his phone!

Well we got to the dealership and their new car is SO nice! :)

It's a '10 Chevy Malibu LT-1 and it's white! :) It's such a cute roomy car! :)

We were there for a while and then we finally left. ha.

Well the whole time my grandma's car kept beeping and I think I looked in her car manual more than I ever looked in one. haha. I usually don't look at manuals, but this was an Audi so it's a foreign car so everything in it is different. haha.

Well I found out the beeping and the thing flashing was just the washer fluid was low so I just kinda ignored that beep! ha.

Then we get to the gas station and Tyler and I can't figure out how to open either of our gas tanks, so guess what we did! Pulled out our manuals. hah. Well we didn't really find anything and so we both just went to the tank and started pushing on the door everywhere and we both figured it out at the same time.

Tyler was like, "Wow the cashier probably is like 'what are those crazy people doing!?'" hahah. Oh man! It was quite funny :)

Then I stopped by my mom's and she made HOMEADE CINNAMON ROLLS!!! OH YA! :) She makes the best food! AND.... my little brother is gonna be in Middle School!!! I can't believe he's not in elementary anymore!! Then my cousin is gonna be in HIGH SCHOOL!! I remember when he was born!! Can I just say I FEEL SO OLD!!!! hahahahaha. :)

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!

Austin and I have been waiting for this for like 2 weeks!!

We ordered a sweet headboard for our bed and lately we've been thinking maybe it got lost or something.

Well this morning Austin came home to eat a little breakfast and go right back to work and right before he left there was a knock at the door!

We both got big eyes!

I was jumping and was like, "AUSTIN MAYBE IT'S THE FEDEX GUY!!!"

Austin peeks out the window and says excitedly, "YES IT IS!!!!"

WOOHOO!!!!!

We answer the door and he tells us he has heavy boxes and so Austin and him haul them in from the garage!

We set them in the middle of our house and right once the FedEx guy left, we started ripping one of the boxes open! :)

Our headboard finally came!!! OH YA!

Now I just need to finish my bedspread and then we'll have our room finished!! YAY!!
