Catching Up Part 1: Beginning of Summer

Wow.. I feel like all I am doing lately is catching up. haha. My summer was SO SO SO crazy! I feel like I never had a time where I could just sit down and blog. The other day I got on and saw that it was 2 months since I've blogged which I think is the longest it's been... YIKES!! haha. But I am going to do another catch up post but it's not just going to be one long post.. I'm going to split it up into a few parts! ha. :) {But all parts are going to be pretty long sorry. ha}
Once I'm done catching up, I might not be so good for the next 3 weeks on blogging because I will still be pretty busy, but after that I should be able to blog a few times a week {hopefully}! :)
So this time to catch you up I'm going to kinda let the pictures speak for themselves, and I'm just going to put some captions.. but I won't write any stories... and if I do I will try to keep them short. :) And there are also some pictures I have already blogged about, but I put them on some for other reasons, but just to show what I was up to! :)
 {Little John Boy at John Deere.. I want it.. it's adorable!}
 {My birthday celebration! My birthday was May 25th. We went to I Jump Which I didn't take a picture of, and then we went to Texas Roadhouse for din din}
 {My MIL got me this adorable cake stand.. And I posted this because it's so cute  but also because it's the first cake stand I own :)}
 {Of course it had to snow in the summer.. It's IDAHO!}
{Memorial Day we visited my dad's grave... and tomorrow, September 15th, is 9 years since he died. It's so crazy to think that he has been gone that long and I miss him so much all the time, but I am so glad that I have my dad watching over me and my family. I love my dad. And Happy Birthday to him in 5 days, the 19th :)}

 {A tiny gum packet... so cute!}
 {A LIZARD?!?! haha. Ya.. they are in Idaho.}
 {I got some new jars for decorating!!}
 {Sheena and I had a craft day and we made these cute wreaths...}
 {...Then I painted her fingernails, and used this tape trick I saw on pinterest! :)}
 {Hannah wasn't able to come to I Jump with us for my birthday, so we took her and we ate at Lucy's pizza!}
 {Is that Hannah in the boys bathroom?? WHAT?!? hahaha.}
 {I painted my nails as we drove to Utah one of the many times we drove to Utah. ha}
{And more hanging out with Hannah!! :)}

 {Roni and I, the coaches, at our cheerleaders fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse.}
This was a good way to start my summer! :)
Have a great day or night or weekend until next post! :D

tractor ride + pumkin fall wreath tutorial!

So a few nights ago I went to ride in the tractor with Austin!

They are working some new ground, so Aust had to disc up all the sagebrush....

Ya... I know I'm legit... I know farm terms.. haha. Jk! I still mess up a lot of them.. dang it! haha.

Well here are some pics of the tractor ride for you to enjoy! :)

Now for the Pumpkin Fall Wreath Tutorial!!

So... I got the idea off pinterest... BUT there was no tutorial because it was from etsy... so my sister Sheena and I got together and made up our own way of the wreath which I LOVE!! :D

So first you buy that Geo-Mesh stuff that you can find in your local craft store.. mine is Porter's :)

We used two spool things of the orange and then 1/2 to 1 yard of the greens, and 1/4 yard of the brown... and this was for two... so if you are just making one, you only need half that! :)
So then you cut all the pieces out! How we did it was we cut down the middle of the goe-mesh until we got to the end, and then we cut like 6 inch strips :) haha.

Then you turn on your handy hot glue gun!

Then start glueing ... starting around the back of the styrafoam!

Oh ya... we bought a ball of styrafoam and cut it in half :)

( i used a pen when I first put it on the glue because it was burning my fingers off.. haha.)
So you glue them along the back of the styrafoam, but not all the way around, you leave a little space for the green.

Then you start glueing on the front.

And then you'll keep going until you have all the orange on there. I would glue them right next to the other, and Sheena kinda spaced hers out. So it's really your own preference.

We took pictures of both of us, but I looked sick so I'm not gonna put them on. ha. If you want to see pics of us when we did the wreath go to Sheena's blog.. haha.

Then once you have the orange on there with a little space, you glue the green on the back and the top front.

Then you all more orange to finish off and I had to use a pen at the end because my finger couldn't reach.. haha.

So here is the top finished!

It's a huge wreath and I love it!!

Then to hang it on your door, take a thick piece of string or something that is sturdy and hot glue it to the back! :) Then stick it on your door and WHALA!! :D

side view!

It's such a cheerful wreath and it's so fun to make!! :) and everyone will love it!! :)

Let me know if you make one! :)

Have a great friday!

My Packed Day. :)

So yesterday was a packed day!

I woke up. Made Amish bread and this time I tried a new flavor!

Chocolate pudding with chocolate chips!!! OH YA! :)

Doesn't it look good??

So then I walk outside to this site!!!

YIKES!!! Whenever there's a fire everything looks orange! If you can't tell what color the sun is.... here's another pic:

Ok... you still can't see it! But it was SO RED!! Like the color of Red Kitchen Aids!! haha. :)

Yes I love my red kitchen aid. lol.

Then Austin's trainer from the mish came over with his date and I made din din for them, but I forgot to take pictures! Sorry!

But here is a picture of the sink full of dishes to show that I was cooking ALL DAY! haha. :)

It was so fun! :) We had twice-baked potatoes, salad, smoothies, and Amish Cake! :)

And all four of us fit in the tractor and went on a ride because Brett (Austin's trainer) had never ben in a tractor and wanted to go in it! ha. :)

AND.... his dates name was Aubree too... so Austin kept getting confused and so he said, "OK we're calling my Aubree Aubs, and your Aubree Aubree." haha. :)

It was such a fun day!

Have a great Friday!! WOOHOO!!! :)

Combining!

That's right! It's combining season!

Austin has taken me in a lot of tractors.

(the bailer, the planter, the plower, the digger, the loader, etc...)

But he hasn't ever taken me in a combine!

Well yesterday he took me in one! I've never realized how big they are!!!

Here is the line-up of the combine and grain cart:

We combined some grain to see if it was ready...

This is one of my senior pictures, but this is a grain field if you don't know what it is!! :)

And this is another senior picture from last sumer that Austin's sister, Alex Hawker Photography.. former Plain Jayne Photography took and this was a picture for Austin. haha
This is the combine! :)

Check out the feet to header ratio in the following picture! haha. the combine header is MASSIVE!!! It's 30 feet long and it's probaly like 6 to 10 feet tall!! haha.
I was amazed with the size of this!

My handsome hubby testing the grain:

He was inside the part that holds the grain and I was on top of the combine taking this picture and the following picture:

It's such I huge drop! I probably would've died if I fell off! hahaha. No that was probably an exaggeration, but I probably would've got hurt!! GOOD THING I DIDN'T! :D

(me holding the wheat! YAY!! :D)
Check out the GPS! It's so cool.
It drives for you, and it tells you where you've cut!
haha.

this is the out the window, in the mirror view to the grain to see how full it is:

Can you see the little window in the mirror and can you see where the grain is at? :)
It's full!! :)
AHH... THE AUGER!!!!
This thing is HUGE!!! It's probably like twenty feet! haha.
It's unloading the grain into a truck:

That's right... I like to chill in massive combine wheels for fun! haha.

This is an obvious statement:

Who would ride the ladder while the combine is moving??!!! That would be way too scary and the grain dust would get all over you! EWW!!
Here's some pictures Austin took of the combine:

After we combined we checked water and as we were on our way back to the house we got to enjoy this pretty sunset:

The joys of living in Idaho! :)
I love being able to see the pretty sunset in the mountains, and the empty space! haha.
I love the country!
The things I don't like though are snow (it looks pretty, but I hate how cold it is), the wind, and the dirt flying in your mouth and eyes! haha.
But msotly I have nothing but good to say about LOVELY IDAHO!!
I am proud to call Idaho my home! haha.

Have a great saturday! :D
