Catching Up Part 1: Beginning of Summer

Wow.. I feel like all I am doing lately is catching up. haha. My summer was SO SO SO crazy! I feel like I never had a time where I could just sit down and blog. The other day I got on and saw that it was 2 months since I've blogged which I think is the longest it's been... YIKES!! haha. But I am going to do another catch up post but it's not just going to be one long post.. I'm going to split it up into a few parts! ha. :) {But all parts are going to be pretty long sorry. ha}

Once I'm done catching up, I might not be so good for the next 3 weeks on blogging because I will still be pretty busy, but after that I should be able to blog a few times a week {hopefully}! :)

So this time to catch you up I'm going to kinda let the pictures speak for themselves, and I'm just going to put some captions.. but I won't write any stories... and if I do I will try to keep them short. :) And there are also some pictures I have already blogged about, but I put them on some for other reasons, but just to show what I was up to! :)

 {My birthday celebration! My birthday was May 25th. We went to I Jump Which I didn't take a picture of, and then we went to Texas Roadhouse for din din}

 {My MIL got me this adorable cake stand.. And I posted this because it's so cute  but also because it's the first cake stand I own :)}

 {Of course it had to snow in the summer.. It's IDAHO!}

{Memorial Day we visited my dad's grave... and tomorrow, September 15th, is 9 years since he died. It's so crazy to think that he has been gone that long and I miss him so much all the time, but I am so glad that I have my dad watching over me and my family. I love my dad. And Happy Birthday to him in 5 days, the 19th :)}

Suprise! :)

So over the past little while Aust and I have been talking about getting a new car and we really liked the GMC Terrain. We decided though that we were going to wait until January ish. haha. Well after a while of looking at the Terrain we decided we just couldn't wait any longer {and plus.. I needed to get my credit built up! haha. And getting a car was the only way to go. 

So Monday of last week I went on parts runs with Aust and we looked at the GMC Terrain and we LOVED it... But then we decided maybe we should look at the Chevy version which is the Equinox. So we went to the car dealership and looked at the Equinox and it was the exact same as the Terrain on the inside {and actually it had more features than the Terrain} and the outside was a little more rounded than the Terrain. We LOVED it even more!! {And might I add it was $4000 cheaper! :) Who doesn't want to save money right?}

So we decided to get it. Well the one I wanted was Crystal Red on the outside with Titanium interior. 

The closest one was in Utah so I had to wait until the next day to get it. 

So While we waited for the call that it was in, I deep cleaned my Alero and got ready to say my goodbyes to it.... haha.

Then we went in and got our new car!! And took the Alero back to it's true owner. hahaha. {I might have shed a few tears... maybe not.. ha.}

Look at this beauty!! Don't you love it?

Well I told Sheena I had a suprise and she said is it a new car, but I didn't want her to think that so I sent her a picture of these clippers and said "Don't you like my suprise!? I've been wanting these forever!" haha.

Well the next day I went to Rexburg to have a girls day with my mom, Sheena, and my grandma :)

I showed them my car and we rode together in it :)

Then we went to the Temple and then ate at this yummy Thai place :)

And Sheena wasn't fooled by the clippers. hahaha.

Well now that we have this we always want to just go on drives and it is so fun! :)

And it's a small SUV so it'll be perfect when we start adding members to our family. hahaha.

But if you are looking for a new car, get the Equinox!! It is so awesome!

It has a touch screen, hands free calling with Bluetooth, it has MyLink which is a new feature that it hooks up to your apps on your phone, so you can play pandora! :) It is SUPER roomy and so much more! Go check them out!! You will want one so bad! 

Oh and now we like the Equinox more than the Terrain.. hahha.

It is so cute! :)

4th of July Celebration!

Our 4th of July celebration started the day before! :) 

I started the 3rd off with trimming up some trees {It needs a chainsaw to some of the branches! ha}

Then we had a BBQ and fireworks at my in laws :) {and BOY was it WINDY!!}

 Then I started the 4th off by weeding my garden and putting some weed preventer in it and leveling the ground :) Nothing feels better than feeling like you already accomplished so much at the beginning of the day! :) I love fresh weeded gardens :D

Then we went to the Menan parade with my family and it was SO HOT {so we cooled off with some yummy snapple, which my lid said that most lipsticks have fish scales in them... uhh eww!! haha} then we looked at the booths and had so much fun!

Later we went to my mom's for din din, and celebrated my Grandma's 84th birthday!! :) Happy Birthday to her! :) She has the same birthday as America's Independence! :)

Then we headed off the I.F. to watch the fireworks with some friends and it was so much fun and we ended the night by going to Taco Bell! hahaha. :)

 {Yes my shorts are made out of men's jeans! haha. Don't judge! haha. I got the idea from a fashion blog and I love them!! They are comfy! So do yourself a favor and make a pair! :)}

 {My mom was so hardcore... she was in the air force! haha just kidding! :) Aust was like, "Man I feel like every time I see your mom I should salute her" So that is what my mom is doing! :) haha}

It was a great celebration!! :) It was our first celebreation as a married couple, because last 4th of July we were on our honeymoon and didn't celebrate. hahaha. :)

P.S. I don't know if you noticed... but I died my hair and got a trim! :) Do you like?? :) I was needing a change and dark brown was the only color I haven't tried yet. ha. Aust says my new nick name is no longer Aubs, it's Blackie. hahaha.

happy one year.

Today is our 1 year anniversary! And boy has it been a good year! I love Austin more and more everyday! :) I am one lucky girl. haha. I can't believe it's been one whole year! ha. I'm excited for the many more years to come! Austin has made me a better person and I couldn't be happier! :) We have been there for each other thro!ugh tears of sorrow and tears of joy!.... and there has been LOTS of laughter! so... happy anniversary baby! Cute little baby at her blessing! :)

 If you can't tell, I have the CUTEST niece EVER!! :) We just love her! 

Well, the beginning of June was her baby blessing and she looked adorable, but all these pictures were when she was already out of her blessing dress, but if you'd like to see it {Which it is a beautiful dress and she looked beautiful in it} go here.

While I'm Out Cuttin' Hay..

This past week I have been swathing, and would wake up early and go to bed late!

Now I am done so I get to catch up on sleep!!! OH YA!

Swathing is so much fun. ha. 

I got stuck once when I was driving and got out, but Aust was driving through this field one day just around the outside for me, and got stuck and it was really bad.. they had to get a tractor to come pull it out! hahaha.

And we got to try out a new swather.. It was pretty sweet. haha.

So that is what I have been up to!

And yesterday was the last day of swathing and one of the blades broke when I had 1 tower left, so the guy running the other swather finished up. And I went to a relief society thing and I played my harp at it... I haven't played my harp for so long.. I don't even want to say how long it's been. hahah. But Now I'm going to try to play it more! :) hahah.

Oh and Hannah didn't swath with me during 1st crop because she had state rodeo this week and today we're going to watch her! She is going to do great! I'm excited!! :D

Next week I am going somewhere so fun and I am SO excited!!!!

You'll hear about it soon enough! :)

I'll try to be better at blogging, if not in June, July I will be better! haha.

But June 2nd was our 11 monthaversary!! WHICH MEANS... in a few weeks, it's our ONE YEAR anniversary!! YAY!!!

Memorial Day! :)

This Memorial Day was great! :) 

First I went to the Burton Cemetery and visited my dad's grave and my grandpa's grave.

It was so good to do that! And the top left picture is the flowers I took to my dad's grave! :)

Lately I have missed my dad so much. I just have gone through quite a lot lately and I haven't had my dad to turn to in these happy and rough times, but I do know that he is there comforting me in those rough times and rejoicing with me in those happy times. It's just crazy that it has already been almost 9 years since his wreck. My dad is the best, and those days when I am thinking about him and can't remember certain things, it makes me sad, but I'm so glad that I know what I know, so I know that I will see my dad again, and I am so excited for that! :) My family will be able to finally have another big group family hug! :)

I'm excited to see my grandpa again too! He was there for me so much and I am so glad he was! :)

Then we ate in Driggs with Austin's family and then we drove to Jackson and there was SNOW!! Crazy! So Austin and Blake went mountain biking down the Jackson Pass and Alex and I waited for them at the bottom, so I wasn't able to try out my new mountain bike that I got for my birthday, but hopefully I get to soon! :) When they were done, they were pretty dirty! haha. 

Then we went to Jackson and went shopping and I got some cute stuff! :) 

It was starting to get late and we knew it was time to get home, so we stopped at Swan Valley and got square ice cream which was YUM to my TUM!! :D 

We decided this is going to be our family tradition! :) I am so excited to carry on this tradition and have our kids enjoy it with us! :)
