OWWEE!!!! ha.

Well I know I said I wasn't gonna post again until next week, but I decided to take a break from my stinkin homework overload! haha.

I'm going to share with you what I've been up to this past week other than school. haha

Well last Friday (the 23rd) I got my blood drawn for the first time!!

Remember when I tried giving blood in high school?

Well this time I was actually able to!! hahaha.

Except I wasn't giving blood.. They drew my blood so I could know what my blood type was. haha.

Well the lady said the same thing to me, "You have small veins!" But she did draw my blood. She stuck the needle in and it didn't go into the vein {and I've heard all these scary stories about the nurses digging the needle into the skin trying to find the vein, but that didn't happen to me.} so the nurse just gently moved the needle around and all the sudden I felt my heartbeat in my arm and saw blood coming out! It was crazy! And usually I don't like blood and I don't like needles and I don't watch when I get shots or anything, but since this was my first time giving blood, I decided to watch and I wasn't grossed out by it! :) haha.

Well even though the lady was gentle, it did leave a bruise.

This picture is a few days after I got my blood drawn, but I still have the bruise but it's not as bad! haha. {You kind of can't even tell there's a bruise there, but if you saw me in person I would show you and you would see it! haha.}

Well then sunday, I was getting out of the truck to go to church and I got this!!

Oww!! hahaha. These pictures don't do these scrapes and bruises justice!! hahaha.

But it's getting better now. haha.

On the flip side, I haven't had anything happen to me since {knock on wood! haha}

Tomorrow we are off to Utah so I got to get all my homework done tonight! YIKES!! haha.

Well I will tell you all about that later! haha.

And this weekend we will be watching General Conference {for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints}, which is when we get to hear our prophets and other leaders speak to us twice a year! I'm so excited!

And today was my last day in my foods class and I made these YUMMY cupcakes!! :D FROM Scratch!! :)

Coming to an End.

This semester is finally coming to an end.

But with that means a lot of studying and a lot of work.

Which means I won't be in the blogging world probably until the end of next week, so until then have a great 2 weeks!! :D

PARTAY!!!

I have had some good days! :D

This Thursday in my foods class we made bread sticks and pretzels! :)

Oh man.. They were seriously SO good! :)

I want to make them all the time! haha. :)

And wednesday night I made mint chocolate brownie yummy things!! :)

I found the recipe on pinterest of course, but I kind of changed it up and they were OH SO GOOD! :)

And Thursday night Hannah came and hung out with us and Kathryn made us Chicken Spaghetti and Pie!

Ya we had a ton of food that day! haha. :)

But it was all DELICIOUS! :D

Then Friday I went to my mom's and we chatted for a while and went to a Mary Kay party! It was fun! :D

Well today was my sister in law Ashley's BABY SHOWER!!!!

Oh my goodness it was so fun and cute!

It was fun to meet lots of new people and to see Ashley and all the other fam! :)

Alex, Hannah, and I had a great trip down in the back seat while Kathryn and Grandma Barrett were in the front! haha. :)

Well I didn't take ANY pictures, so sorry about that, but I wish you could've seen how cute it was!!!!

She got so many cute things too!!

The only pictures I have are the baby booties I crocheted for Ashley's cute little baby that I'm so excited for her to have!! :D

Well I made brown ones with lace all around them:

And purple ones with big bows and a pearl on them:

And yellow ones that were boots and they had little white buttons on the side:

It was so fun to make all those booties and it was so fun to go down to Utah for the Baby Shower!! :)

We had a blast! :)

P.S. Today we went to the Gateway Mall and people in Utah take St. Patty's Day seriously, there was like a parade and everything! haha.

And like none of us were in green, and Alex was wearing red pants, haha, ya we didn't fit in to that crowd at all!! haha. :)

Good Weekend.

This last weekend was so fun! :)

Friday night, Austin and I went to dinner with his sisters, Hailey and Alex, and their friend Hannah (Not my sister-in-law Hannah.. haha).

We went to Costa Vida and it was OH SO good.. just like it is every time! haha. :)

Then they went to This Means War, but we had already seen it, so instead we went to Cocoa Bean!! :D My favorite!

We got the Dirty Turtle Cupcake:

And the S'mores Cupcake:

Oh man... those made our night perfect. hahaha. :)

Well then Saturday came along and it was the big day for Hannah's Distinguished Young Women (formerly Jr. Miss) and she looked gorgeous and did so good. It was so fun! So many people came to support her, and she just stood out and did so good! She won everything but the Scholastic Scholarship, which means in the following picture, you are now looking at West Jeff's 2013 DYW!!! :D

YAY!!!! Go Hannah!! We were so excited and proud of her! :)

Now we get to go watch her at state and we are so excited! :)

Then today (Sunday) we had dinner with my family because it was my step-sister Brittany's birthday Saturday, so we celebrated today.. {And she is also getting married in May!!! So EXCITING!}

And Sunday was also FOUR years since Aust and I met!!! :D

Oh man, that was such a great day! I still remember him walking in to the stake dance in his sexy red collar shirt! :D haha. Oh man.. that was a great day! :)

Yummy yummy treats! :D

So the other day Aust and I were about to watch a movie and we decided we needed popcorn. Well remember this post about my secret caramel marshmallow popcorn recipe??

Well I was on Pinterest and found a recipe for it that you cook in the microwave instead of on the stove... It wasn't as good as my recipe, but it was definitely a keeper recipe!! haha. :)

Then.. today in my Foods class, my partner and I made Orange Biscuits! WHAT??? Ya... Orange Biscuits! They are oh so good! If you want one, you can come over if they aren't gone by the time you get here. haha. But they are good! You put orange peel in the biscuit and you dip sugar cubes in orange juice and stick it on top of the biscuit before you cook it! YUM to my TUM!! :D

There are only 3 1/2 weeks left this semester and then I'll be done until fall and I will be a sophomore!!! YAY!!

Spring Wreath DIY :)

So my sister, our friend Chelsi, and I got together and decided to make wreaths...

Well I finally finished mine! :)

Here it is!

What you'll need is coffee filters, paint (or food coloring), time, a styrafoam wreath (don't use the gray tube things that you duct tape together... they bend too much! haha.), and hot glue!

What you do is dye the coffee filters whatever color you want by taking a ton and not separating them and dipping them in paint (diluted with water, or food coloring diluted!) and set them out to dry! :)

Then once they're dry you just start gluing like crazy until you have the thickness you want and you are done! :)

I had three colors and got one of each and then put a dab of hot glue and stuck the three colors on each dab. I glued them about 1 1/2 inches apart and when you do it like that, you don't have to put fillers on the sides because the three make it full! :)

I used ribbon to stick mine on my door because I didn't want it to be SO high. haha.

Don't you love it??

Perfect wreath for spring! :) haha.

And I finally got to take my Christmas wreath down since I have a new one! hahaha. :)

P.S. Yesterday Austin and I had our 8 month anniversary! YAY!! :D

Leap Frog, Leap Day... Same thing! haha.

I hope you guys all had a GREAT leap year/day! ha. Because I know Aust and I had seriously such a great day!!! :D

Well today I was at my sister's between my lecture and lab and I was asking her if she had a good Leap Frog Day and she just kind of looked at me and Tyler said, "Leap Year!" hahhahaha. I was like, "Oh my gosh.. Leap Day not Leap Frog!" hahahaha. I totally forgot what it was called for a second and when I was called out on it I was a tad bit embarrassed. hahaha. But it was really funny! :)

Have a great 1st day of March {today I was on my way home and looked at the clock and it was 3:01 and I was like it's 3:01 on 3/01!! hahhah. :) Oh man... sometimes I crack myself up and people probably think I'm crazy! haha.

P.S. Today in my Foods class my partner and I made egg rolls and homeade sweet and sour sauce.. can you say HEAVENLY!!! Oh my goodness.. it was GREAT!! :) Aust said they are seriously the best egg rolls he has ever tried and they were yo!! :) They were SO SO SO good!! :D I was like, "We're goin in deep y'all!" hahha. I'm kidding.. I didn't say that, but I had to throw it in because I have been thinking of quotes from Just Go With It ALL day!! hahaha. :D
