Memorial Day! :)

This Memorial Day was great! :) 

First I went to the Burton Cemetery and visited my dad's grave and my grandpa's grave.

It was so good to do that! And the top left picture is the flowers I took to my dad's grave! :)

Lately I have missed my dad so much. I just have gone through quite a lot lately and I haven't had my dad to turn to in these happy and rough times, but I do know that he is there comforting me in those rough times and rejoicing with me in those happy times. It's just crazy that it has already been almost 9 years since his wreck. My dad is the best, and those days when I am thinking about him and can't remember certain things, it makes me sad, but I'm so glad that I know what I know, so I know that I will see my dad again, and I am so excited for that! :) My family will be able to finally have another big group family hug! :)

I'm excited to see my grandpa again too! He was there for me so much and I am so glad he was! :)

Then we ate in Driggs with Austin's family and then we drove to Jackson and there was SNOW!! Crazy! So Austin and Blake went mountain biking down the Jackson Pass and Alex and I waited for them at the bottom, so I wasn't able to try out my new mountain bike that I got for my birthday, but hopefully I get to soon! :) When they were done, they were pretty dirty! haha. 

Then we went to Jackson and went shopping and I got some cute stuff! :) 

It was starting to get late and we knew it was time to get home, so we stopped at Swan Valley and got square ice cream which was YUM to my TUM!! :D 

We decided this is going to be our family tradition! :) I am so excited to carry on this tradition and have our kids enjoy it with us! :)

Happy Birthday to Aust!

Who is the worst blogger of them all?? ME! haha.

Sorry. I feel so bad... I've only been blogging like 1 1/2 times a month. haha. I am going to try to be better... but these next few days I have nothing going on but school... so I'll be catching you up on what's been going on! :)

Life is GREAT!! And we had such a good holiday season!! :)

December 11th was Austin's birthday.

We wanted Sheena to be able to come to the party, so we had a fun party on Friday, December 9th and we went bowling....

And to Buffalo Wild Wings! :) And while we were there I got Austin's stocking stuffers (aka... BWW sauces! :D)

He was SPOILED!!

Thanks to everyone who made his birthday great! :)

His parents got him a NFR belt buckle.

Alex got him this funny card!! haha. It sings Happy Birthday all cool, and the guitar shakes haha.

Tyler and Sheena got him a shirt.

His Parents also got him a hat.

And his favorite Beef Jerky!

Then my mom and Rusten got him a Famous Dave's gift card.

We are excited to use that puppy!! :)

Saturday I took a trip to my mom's to suprise Austin by making him a JOHN DEERE CAKE!! Since John Deere is his favorite! :)

It was milk chocolate cake and I cut it into a tractor shape :)

And we used mint flavored icing! :) YUM!

As I was leaving, my step-brother's friend came in and was like, "Man it's like a chevy dealership out there." hahaha. There were like 7 chevys in the driveway. haha. And Justin, Jaden, Doug, and My truck were all white, so they all kinda looked alike!! lol. It was pretty funny :)

And I left the cake at my mom's so Aust would be very suprised! :)

Sunday (his birthday) I let him open his presents when he woke up! :)

A drill and drill end things. hahah. :) He loves it... and I might be using it to make my entry way table! :D haha. That is a summer project I have planned to make after this semester is over! :)

After Church, both our families came over and we had cake and ice cream!!

P.S. Cake always turns into cake fights for Austin and I... I threw powdered sugar on Austin a few days later, and he took the left over cake and shoved it in my face and gave me a mustache! hahaha. But I didn't get any pictures.. dang it! haha.

We'll see what's in store with the next birthday cake :) hahaha.

Midterms, and a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

K sorry about the lack of blogging... I had midterms last week and that consumed my life!! hahaha. But let me fill you in on the things I've been doing! :)

2 Saturdays ago, Sheena and I went to her Mother-in-Law's Super Saturday!

It was so fun!

Then Austin and I had FHE with some friends in the ward and I forgot to take pictures while we were there, but here is the dessert I made for it!

Reese's Cheesecake Brownies.. got the recipe from the LOVELY pinterest!! :)

Man oh man was it DELISH!!!! YES!! :D

Then this last Saturday we threw a bridal shower for Sheena's best friend Chelsi who is getting married to one of Tyler's friends!! haha. This is Chelsi:

K.. so Austin and I subscribed to the Ensign like in SEPTEMBER!!!

Well they told us when we subscribed that we wouldn't get september, but we would get october....

Well october came and we didn't get one! So we called and they said that we wouln't get the october one, but we would get the November one! haha.

So by now we were thinking we wouldn't get it at all!!!!

But as we were on our way to our hot date saturday we stopped at the post office and guess what we got!!!! See for yourself:

I don't think we've ever been so excited for an Ensign. hahaha.
For our date we went to din din at Red Robin! :)

And we got a Peach Lemonade and it tasted like a PEACH RING EXACTLY!!! YUM TO MY TUM!!! :D

Then we went to the Movie "The Big Year!" Oh. MY. GOODNESS.... it was so good and funny! :) haha. It has Jack Black, Owen Wilson, and Steve Martin in it, and it doesn't say the F word once!! And it's PG and it shows that family is the most important thing and that you don't have to cheat to get first place!! hahaha. :) Then we went to Cold Stone and got yummy Raspberry Sorbet with Raspberries, and a smoothie.. well the girl couldn't get the ice chunks to blend in, so she mae another one, and she was like, "Ok.. this one is on the house because you had to wait forever!" I told her that it was ok, I would pay, but she wouldn't let me! That was so nice! AND AWESOME!!! hahaha. :)

Then I forgot.... Friday the cheerleaders did a spook alley and Austin grabbed this girls leg and accidentally held it too long and she face planted it!! HAHAHA.... we were the scary people and it shouldn't have been funny but it was sad and funny.. because he didn't realize what had happened!! hahaha. :)

Well.. Happy Halloween today!!! If you get the chance... come trick-or-treating to my house!! Because we have like BUCKETS of candy!! SO COME ON OVER!! :D haha.

And I guess your out of luck if you don't live around here, because we have some good treats to give out! haha. :)

Dessert Party!!!

Ok so here is the suprise you've all been waiting for!! :)

Last night, my mom, Rusten, Sheena, Tyler, Austin and I had a dessert party.

They came over and had some calzones(not dessert) haha.

And then our party began!

Sheena brought over Apple Crisp! It was SO SO SO delish!

And of course I had to pull out the Homeade Vanilla Blue Bunny Ice Cream to go with it!

That is the best!

And the Apple Crisp went great with it, and then of course Austin had to pull out the Caramel Sauce to go with his Apple Crisp. :)

It was so extremely great!

Then I made smores! But not campfire Smores.....

I bought a package of Toll House Nestle Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate Chocolate Chips and made the cookie recipe that was on the back of it.

Then instead of making cookies, I spread the cookie mix across the whole cookie sheet :)

And I baked it for like 15 minutes. :)

Then I bought Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme and cut the cookies into squares.

I put the marshmallow creme on the inside and put a few more chocolate chips on it. :)

Then I stuck the smore cookie on a plate and stuck it in the Microwave for 15 seconds AND whala!

It was SO good! definitely make it, and if you do, let me know what you think of them. :)

Also.... I finished putting together our bed frame and headboard! WOOHOO! :D

Isn't it lovely? :)

And tonight I am making my handsome husband some Chicken Spaghetti for din din!

Oh I am excited! :)
