Catching Up Part 1: Beginning of Summer

Wow.. I feel like all I am doing lately is catching up. haha. My summer was SO SO SO crazy! I feel like I never had a time where I could just sit down and blog. The other day I got on and saw that it was 2 months since I've blogged which I think is the longest it's been... YIKES!! haha. But I am going to do another catch up post but it's not just going to be one long post.. I'm going to split it up into a few parts! ha. :) {But all parts are going to be pretty long sorry. ha}

Once I'm done catching up, I might not be so good for the next 3 weeks on blogging because I will still be pretty busy, but after that I should be able to blog a few times a week {hopefully}! :)

So this time to catch you up I'm going to kinda let the pictures speak for themselves, and I'm just going to put some captions.. but I won't write any stories... and if I do I will try to keep them short. :) And there are also some pictures I have already blogged about, but I put them on some for other reasons, but just to show what I was up to! :)

{Memorial Day we visited my dad's grave... and tomorrow, September 15th, is 9 years since he died. It's so crazy to think that he has been gone that long and I miss him so much all the time, but I am so glad that I have my dad watching over me and my family. I love my dad. And Happy Birthday to him in 5 days, the 19th :)}

Pear Shaped Orange

On my birthday EVE!! :) 

For my birthday eve I went with my mom to the Middle School and we made cotton candy for the kids for their carnival thing, and then we did hair! It was a lot of fun! :) 

Now my voice is gone cause I had to sing all these songs for this thing coming up! haha.

It has been a really fun day though! :)

Shoe Sale! :)

Monday I went to town and got my birthday present in Rexburg! :) 

Then we went into IF for Alex's birthday dinner {Her birthday was on Friday the 18th, and so was my brother Andy's... Happy Birthday to them! :)} and went to Johnny Carino's.. It was DELISH!

Then we went to the mall and Dillard's was having a MAJOR shoe sale that had just started! 65% off shoes! I picked out like 50 pairs of shoes but I knew I couldn't get all of them, so after a very long time, it was so hard but I narrowed it down to TWO!! :) And I got them! They were way on sale so I couldn't pass that up! haha.

They can go with everything! :) I wore the leopard print one's yesterday and the brown wedges today! :) 

I am in love! hahhaha.

June 5th is a Texas Roadhouse fundraiser for my cheerleaders.. SO If you want a yummy lunch for $10, let me know! :) It includes, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, baked beans, fries, a drink, and rolls! :) YUM to my TUM! You can't pass it up! :) You can either get tickets from the girls, or us coaches, or you can just buy them at the door that day! :)

Dates! :D

This last weekend was SO fun! :) 

Friday Aust wanted to go to his mission reunion so we were off to Utah after his classes. 

But first we had to feed the calves.

The smell of the powdered milk stuff was so gross I almost puked. haha.

It was fun though to feed the calves with these huge bottles.

I named the 3 calves Fierce, Sleepy, and Clumsy! Because the one I fed (Fierce) was trying to rip the bottle out of my hand. haha. Then I named the second one sleepy because it pretty much just slept the whole time, and the last one I named clumsy because it kept falling because it's hooves were curled up, it was so sad. 

Then we stopped in Malad to throw away our garbage and there was massive lines to the gas stations and we could barely drive down the street it was so crowded.

We realized they were there because the Powerball! They wanted to win that $600 million!! haha. It was RIDICULOUS! haha.

The reunion was SO fun! :) It was fun to finally meet all the missionaries Austin served in Upstate New York with, and to meet one of his mission presidents and his wife! :) (The other one is still the mission president, but gets home in July) But ya it was funny because Austin would introduce me to all these people and I would laugh afterwards because they were totally like how he told me, so I could finally put faces to the missionaries I heard about! haha. They were all so funny and it was a blast! :)

We didn't take any pictures inside, so we took some pictures outside of the church :)

{These pink skinnys are my easter present, but Aust let me wear them early!! I am digging the Skinny Jeans lately! I love them, they are so cute! :)}

Well we came back Friday night and stopped at In-N-Out!! YUMMY!! haha. And we didn't get home until like 4 in the morning. haha. We were one tired couple!

But we finished reading the Hunger Games the whole way home! It was such a good book! :)

Saturday night we went on a date! :)

We went to dinner at Olive Garden, and then went to the HUNGER GAMES!!! :) It was such a good movie! We loved it! We are definitely buying it when it comes out on DVD! :)

Well while we were on our way, Austin hit a bird! We were on the freeway and out of nowhere this bird hits us and it splatters!! And it's feathers were all over the wipers and windshields! haha:

Then we got a car wash after we ate! haha. And I realized our food was in the back as we were in the car wash and Austin was like, get out and get it! hahahha. Ya I didn't of course, but we checked it, and they were fine! haha. And we got yummy treats for the movie! :)

It was a great and fun date night! :)

{Oh and we were gonna meet up with a few couples, but they all had something going on last minute, so it was just a date for us! :) ahha.}

Well I finished school as I said before, and I went grocery shopping! hahaha.

And I got us a lot more fruit (bananas, pineapple), oh and by the way, I read on pinterest that if you separate the bananas, they won't ripen as fast, but I feel like my bananas are ripening faster!! DANG IT! Never doing that again. haha.

Well and with all the healthy stuff I had to get some sweets too!

{I also got ice cream and cinnamon roll pop-tarts!! :) YUM!}

Today I was trying to find things to do while Austin was taking his test, and I started writing this blog and Austin took this picture of me and said when you look at it, think "What Would Jesus Do?" haha. So I looked and thought he said that because Jesus is in the picture, but then he was like, "Both your heads are down!" hahaha. So he said he had to take a picture with our Mini Christ Statue in the picture! :)

Oh and I have loved not being in school anymore! :)

I've been able to clean the house! 

I was going to do yard work, but it was SUPER windy and sand was blowing in the yard, so I started to catch up Andy's mission blog instead! haha. :D

OWWEE!!!! ha.

Well I know I said I wasn't gonna post again until next week, but I decided to take a break from my stinkin homework overload! haha.

I'm going to share with you what I've been up to this past week other than school. haha

Well last Friday (the 23rd) I got my blood drawn for the first time!!

Remember when I tried giving blood in high school?

Well this time I was actually able to!! hahaha.

Except I wasn't giving blood.. They drew my blood so I could know what my blood type was. haha.

Well the lady said the same thing to me, "You have small veins!" But she did draw my blood. She stuck the needle in and it didn't go into the vein {and I've heard all these scary stories about the nurses digging the needle into the skin trying to find the vein, but that didn't happen to me.} so the nurse just gently moved the needle around and all the sudden I felt my heartbeat in my arm and saw blood coming out! It was crazy! And usually I don't like blood and I don't like needles and I don't watch when I get shots or anything, but since this was my first time giving blood, I decided to watch and I wasn't grossed out by it! :) haha.

Well even though the lady was gentle, it did leave a bruise.

This picture is a few days after I got my blood drawn, but I still have the bruise but it's not as bad! haha. {You kind of can't even tell there's a bruise there, but if you saw me in person I would show you and you would see it! haha.}

Well then sunday, I was getting out of the truck to go to church and I got this!!

Oww!! hahaha. These pictures don't do these scrapes and bruises justice!! hahaha.

But it's getting better now. haha.

On the flip side, I haven't had anything happen to me since {knock on wood! haha}

Tomorrow we are off to Utah so I got to get all my homework done tonight! YIKES!! haha.

Well I will tell you all about that later! haha.

And this weekend we will be watching General Conference {for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints}, which is when we get to hear our prophets and other leaders speak to us twice a year! I'm so excited!

HAPPY PI DAY!!!

Happy Pi day today everyone!! :D

AND.. if you spell 3.14 backwards as in 41.3 but flip to 4 and 3 so it looks like a p and e it spells PIE!!! COOL HUH?? :D

Well I am really feeling some pie today, but I don't think I'll get any.. haha.

Good Weekend.

This last weekend was so fun! :)

Friday night, Austin and I went to dinner with his sisters, Hailey and Alex, and their friend Hannah (Not my sister-in-law Hannah.. haha).

We went to Costa Vida and it was OH SO good.. just like it is every time! haha. :)

Then they went to This Means War, but we had already seen it, so instead we went to Cocoa Bean!! :D My favorite!

We got the Dirty Turtle Cupcake:

Oh man... those made our night perfect. hahaha. :)

Well then Saturday came along and it was the big day for Hannah's Distinguished Young Women (formerly Jr. Miss) and she looked gorgeous and did so good. It was so fun! So many people came to support her, and she just stood out and did so good! She won everything but the Scholastic Scholarship, which means in the following picture, you are now looking at West Jeff's 2013 DYW!!! :D

YAY!!!! Go Hannah!! We were so excited and proud of her! :)

Now we get to go watch her at state and we are so excited! :)

Then today (Sunday) we had dinner with my family because it was my step-sister Brittany's birthday Saturday, so we celebrated today.. {And she is also getting married in May!!! So EXCITING!}

And Sunday was also FOUR years since Aust and I met!!! :D

Oh man, that was such a great day! I still remember him walking in to the stake dance in his sexy red collar shirt! :D haha. Oh man.. that was a great day! :)

Yummy yummy treats! :D

So the other day Aust and I were about to watch a movie and we decided we needed popcorn. Well remember this post about my secret caramel marshmallow popcorn recipe??

Well I was on Pinterest and found a recipe for it that you cook in the microwave instead of on the stove... It wasn't as good as my recipe, but it was definitely a keeper recipe!! haha. :)

Then.. today in my Foods class, my partner and I made Orange Biscuits! WHAT??? Ya... Orange Biscuits! They are oh so good! If you want one, you can come over if they aren't gone by the time you get here. haha. But they are good! You put orange peel in the biscuit and you dip sugar cubes in orange juice and stick it on top of the biscuit before you cook it! YUM to my TUM!! :D

Leap Frog, Leap Day... Same thing! haha.

I hope you guys all had a GREAT leap year/day! ha. Because I know Aust and I had seriously such a great day!!! :D

Well today I was at my sister's between my lecture and lab and I was asking her if she had a good Leap Frog Day and she just kind of looked at me and Tyler said, "Leap Year!" hahhahaha. I was like, "Oh my gosh.. Leap Day not Leap Frog!" hahahaha. I totally forgot what it was called for a second and when I was called out on it I was a tad bit embarrassed. hahaha. But it was really funny! :)

Have a great 1st day of March {today I was on my way home and looked at the clock and it was 3:01 and I was like it's 3:01 on 3/01!! hahhah. :) Oh man... sometimes I crack myself up and people probably think I'm crazy! haha.

P.S. Today in my Foods class my partner and I made egg rolls and homeade sweet and sour sauce.. can you say HEAVENLY!!! Oh my goodness.. it was GREAT!! :) Aust said they are seriously the best egg rolls he has ever tried and they were yo!! :) They were SO SO SO good!! :D I was like, "We're goin in deep y'all!" hahha. I'm kidding.. I didn't say that, but I had to throw it in because I have been thinking of quotes from Just Go With It ALL day!! hahaha. :D

Superbowl!! :D

This year for superbowl, we had the party at our house. It was so fun! I didn't take any pictures of people though :( but I took pictures of the food! :D haha. My mom and Rusten came, Sheena and Tyler, Austin's parents and Hannah, Our friends Tyson and Kate, and Austin's cousins Tyson and Courtney and their kids :D it was so fun! :) I Was pretty much in the kitchen the whole time: making food, eating food and cleaning up! haha. :)

Well on Pinterest I found this recipe for Love Potion, so I made it and it was SUCH a hit! Everyone loved it! :D It was really easy too, a 2 liter bottle of pink lemonade, sprite, and raspberry sherbet! :D Then there was Mountain Dew and Pepsi :)

I made chocolate Fondue for the first time! :) I was going to use mine, but you have to use gelled fuel, and we didn't have that {We are getting it soon though. haha.}, so instead we borrowed Kathryn's fondue pot and we used ours to hold the fruit and pretzels! :D And now I have leftover chocolate fondue, and it doesn't harden, so we use it as hot fudge for ice cream and it is REALLY GOOD! :) all it is is a bag of chocolate chips {flavor of your choice} and a can of evaporated milk and you melt it in a pan and transfer it to the fondue pot! :) or you can just put it in a mason jar if you are just making hot fudge out of it! :) hhaha.

Then I also found some cupcake tips on Pinterest...

I made a brownie recipe and put a rolo in the center and baked it :) Then 5 minutes before they were done, I put marshmallows on the top instead of frosting, and then I topped it off with a rolo for fun! :D They were REALLY good!

*Tip for next time I make them, or if you make them... spray the cupcake things with PAM or other cooking spray before you pour the batter in. :)

Then we had a table full of goodies!! :D

And I used my cupcake holder! Notice it from anywhere else?? haha.

Ya and by the time I took this picture, a lot of cupcakes and other food was almost gone. haha. :)

But there was 7 layer dip {And I just read my sister-in-law's blog and she made seven layer dip without guacamole in it so six layer dip, and no one even noticed!! I'm gonna try that because I don't really like guacamole, even though I like it in 7 layer dip! haha.}, homeade mozarella sticks, fried pickles, apples and heath bar fruit dip {one of my faves that my mom makes :) We got the recipe from my aunt Liz :D}, teddy bear caramel crispy but soft things... SO good! :) cookie dough dip stuff, and hot wings! :) haha. Everything was DIVINE!

It was a super fun party and it was fun to spend it with friends and family! :) It's a tradition that we are starting now, so next year... COME TO OUR HOUSE for superbowl!! haha. :D

This year was kinda last minute, so we forgot to invite lots of people we wanted to invite, haha, but don't worry next year, we will be sure to invite all our friends and family! :D
