What a Way to Start my Birthday Month!

So basically we have had a lot of fun, and this post is about our fun things we had going on to start off our month of May!!! :)
So our washer broke a few months ago, and we really needed a new washer. Our dryer broke last year, so we got a new one and we wanted our new washer to match. For a while I was washing all our clothes by hand, but then the washer would still spin the water out, it just wouldn't wash.. haha. So I didn't even really think it was that big of a deal until we got this new washer and OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I love it!!! I honestly can't believe I was washing clothes in a broken washer for so long, and I don't even know why! hahahaha. I guess I just had a hard time letting it go, and I kept thinking maybe it would start working again, but it never did and I am so glad, cause this new washer is AMAZING!!!!! :D hahaha. I love doing laundry now! :)
Then we found out we were having a girl, which you all knew, but I just have to post this cute picture of her giving us a thumbs up. She was sick and tired of us poking her and trying to get her to wake up, so she decided she would wake up and face away from us and give us a thumbs up, letting us know that she is fine!! hahahaha. :)
This is me at 20 weeks. :)
And of course once we found out we were having a girl, I had to go shopping!! :) I went with my mom and sister, Sheena, and there was so many cute things, and this is what I got...
Then with pregnancy, comes eating.. haha. So of course I had to take pictures of all the yummy food I have been eating! hahaha. :)
You guys HAVE to try this Simply Lemonade!!! It is so good!!!! :) So worth the money! :D
My 21 week baby bump picture..
So also... May was my birthday month, so to start it off, the second weekend in May we went to Cafe Rio and then to Cocoa Bean and got a yummy cupcake and cake pop, and then we saw Iron Man 3. :) It was so fun!! And it was a great way to start off the birthday celebrations. :)
That Sunday it was Mother's Day and we got to Skype with my brother Andy for the last time on his mission!! He gets home July 3rd!!!! AHHHH!!!!! :D I am so excited!! It was fun to skype with him! :) His birthday month is also May. We are only a year and a week apart, so we are pretty close! ha :) And then my sister-in-law Alex also had her birthday month in May too!! And her and Andy actually have the same birthday!!! hahaha. :) So many May birthdays!! And speaking of birthdays... Our baby is due in September, which is a HUGE birthday month in my family!! haha. My dad, little brother, and oldest sister's birthday is in September (And my baby is actually due on my dad's birthday)!! ha :)
Well I made these yummy baked beans. It has pineapple, little smokies, bacon, and much more!! MMM mmm mmm....
So one of the first things we did when we found out what we were having was get a car seat and stroller. I just couldn't wait!! hahaha. :) And we got a swingin deal, so it was fine by me!! hahahaha :)
My mom's ward was having a tea party, so I went with her to that and it was so fun!! :)
Me and my mom didn't really want to try the tea, so we had lemonade instead, and it was SUCH good lemonade! :) Isn't my mom so beautiful??? :D I just love her and she is my best friend! :)
I won a giveaway!! So I won a cute pair of leggings for our little baby, and I am so excited to see her in them!! :)
As you can see, I had a fun time starting off my birthday month with lots of fun things, and it just continued to be a blast!! :)
Have a great Friday!! :D

Hiking the Y

The end of April was our brother-in-law, Jordan's graduation. We were going to go down to all of the graduation ceremonies, but then I got called to do jury duty, and it was a 3-day trial, so we didn't end up going down until that Friday and we ended up missing all the ceremonies, which we were bummed about, but we still had all weekend to hang out with Austin's sisters and their husbands and girls.
When we got down there, there was a BBQ and it was so fun to just eat and talk. :)
Austin decided to get creative with his food, and made his teddy graham have a fro... hahaha.
Then that night we went to hike the Y. I forgot hiking shoes (and PJs.. haha) so we had to run to Wal-Mart and find something. I found some shoes that look like TOMS and I decided they would have to work, cause otherwise I would have to wear my sandals. haha. We went with Jordan and Ashley, and Austin's cousin Chelsi. It was so much fun!! It was a pretty long hike, but it was so worth it! ha. We even tried having one of Jordan's friend's record us on the Y covering the lights, which you can kind of see in the video.. it's just really small (We just covered the top row of lights). haha. But it was so fun! :) (ps... don't pay attention to my nastiness... I knew we were hiking, so I didn't get ready for the day, then when I realized we were going to take pictures, I was regretting not getting ready. haha.)

The next day we went to J-Dawgs, went to the jewelry store to get our rings cleaned, and visited the Harley-Davidson store and Lyla got to ride on the motorcycle...
Later that day, the boys went to the motocross, and us girls went shopping and we ate at Zuppa's, which was my first time and I LOVED it!!! It was so delicious! :) Then we went back to Jordan and Ashley's and watched a movie while we waited for the boys and Lyla and Ellie had some cousin time!! :)
Sunday we said our goodbyes and headed home.
We stopped at Temple Square and it was BEAUTIFUL!! :D All the flowers were blooming and everything just looked so pretty!! :)
It was a great trip to Utah, and we had so much fun!! :)
Have a great Thursday! :)

Family Time.. More Like Party Time! :D

So my next few posts are going to be telling you guys what I have been up to the past few months, and this title doesn't really have to do with the first two pictures, but oh well! haha. So enjoy.. (and ps... I would have posted more sooner, but I was trying to post on my phone and I couldn't figure it out, so I had to do it on the computer.. Has anyone ever posted on their phone? And if so, I need help to know how... It might have been because it was a really long post, so it was too big to upload, so I have broken it down into smaller posts! :))
So earlier this year Aust and I went to some Jazz games. It is so fun going, and we have luckily been able to go every year the past few years... We'll see what happens once we have a baby in the picture.. hahaha. :)
Of course tons of Taco Bell runs have happened, because it seems like, earlier in my pregnancy Taco Bell was all that sounded good to me! Everything else sounded sick! hahaha... And so I tried the Pina Colada Fruitista Freeze one of the times, and let me just tell you, it was a party in my mouth!! Not even joking!! It is SO good.. and speaking of TB runs, we actually ate Taco Bell today.. hahaha. Ironic??? lol.
Now to the family part!!!
So this is my ADORABLE niece Eleanor (Ellie), and sometimes she likes to throw gang signs and Micheal Jackson poses! :) This is her "Thriller" sleeping pose. hahaha. :)
And this was at her baby shower that we had when she was 1 month old! :)
Then this is my other ADORABLE niece Lyla! She had her 1st birthday the same day of Ellie's baby shower. She ate a mini cupcake and she was sorta hesitant at first, but once she realized no one was stopping her, she went for it!! :D (And don't you love the mini cake stand??? I think it is so cute!!)
Then this is my sister-in-law Hailey.... She is so funny!! :) She decided she wanted to join in on the fun, and try to fit in a bumbo... hahahha.
Perfect fit, don't ya think?? hahaha. :)

Anyways... this all happened in March/April. :) {And yes I realize that was like 2-3 months ago..... hahha}. I love spending time with family, and I am so glad we got to spend a lot of time with Austin's family before Jordan, Ashley and Lyla moved to Michigan.
Have a great night!! :D
Mine will be spent cuddling with my hubby until he has to leave to go bale around midnight. :( haha.

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Today I decided to post a recipe! haha.
I haven't done it for a while and I want to start blogging more, so I am going to try to start taking pictures when I make things (food, clothes, crafts, etc.)!
I hope you guys like it!! :)
So this is a banana bread recipe that I use ALL the time!
And I usually just do banana bread, but Austin really wanted chocolate chips in it, so I put them in this time, and you can also put walnuts in, but I am kind of just a plain banana bread type of girl. haha.
But any way you make it is delish when you have this recipe! :)
It is out of a cookbook my mom and I made that has tons of family recipes in it! :)
Ok let's get started!

Banana Bread
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter (softened)
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas
1/3 cup water
1 2/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or walnuts
cinnamon sugar

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F
Grease your pan
Mix together the sugar and butter
Add eggs
Add bananas (I had 3 bananas, so I didn't measure out 1 1/2 cups, so it could be more or less, banana bread is forgiving. haha.) and water.
Beat for 30 seconds
Add flour
baking soda, salt, and baking powder and mix until combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips (or walnuts, or you can skip this step completely)
Pour into the pan (you can either use 1 pan or a couple of those small ones, I've done both and it just kinda depends on if I want 1 loaf or a couple small ones!).
Grab your cinnamon sugar and sprinkle over the top.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, depending on how your oven cooks.
Once you poke the bread with a toothpick and it comes out clean, take it out of the oven.
Transfer onto a cooling rack...
And ENJOY!!! :)
Have a great Friday night!

It's A....

I have been so excited for this and I can't believe it is already here!!
I am 20 weeks this week which is half way through my pregnancy!! WOOHOO!!
And now the news we have all been waiting for..
It's A...
GIRL!!!
We are so excited to be able to call our baby a she now rather than it! ha. And we love our baby girl so much already and are so excited for her to get here!! :)
At our appointment we were looking at the ultrasound and baby girl just did not want to move. She was so modest! haha. She had her legs crossed and her hands were laced and in front of her face! So we found out it was a girl but she couldn't get a picture she wanted for us because baby girl just would not uncross her legs! ha. And then she tried to get some 3D pictures of her face, and she just did not want to move her hands out of her face! ha. But then she finally did move her hands to the sides of her face but turned the other way so we couldn't see her, but she gave us a thumbs up, so I guess that was our queue that she had had enough of the poking and she wanted us to stop, but she wanted us to know she was fine! haha.
So we only got some 3D pictures of her legs crossed. ha. And the ultrasound tech said that she thinks our baby girl is going to be a cuddler because she was just cuddled up in there. haha. And she also said that she would probably be a good sleeper because we were shaking the ultrasound thing and poking her trying to get her to move, and I was rolling around and nothing worked. haha. She would move a teeny tiny bit, but not enough to be in a different position. ha.
Our doctor said that she looks really healthy, and everything looks great! :)
He said that she is in the 65th percentile for her size, so I may have a normal sized baby, or I may have a 10 pound baby like Austin was... We'll see!! :) haha.
Anyway, we just love our little girl and we are so happy that we know what gender she is now, and we are just so excited for her to get here now!! :)
Now I can start figuring out room plans and start getting baby things for her and I can start to make some baby girl things now! :)
So stay tuned for some sewing projects and crafts and posts about my pregnancy! :)
And then of course posts about our cute baby girl once she's here!! :)
*Aubree*
P.S. So the story of the kitty stuffed animal in the picture.... since we have kitties at our house then our brother-in-law and Austin's sister calls our house kitty city! haha. So when Aust saw this stuffed animal he was like, "We have to get this and we can say that we are having a baby girl and she will be joining us in kitty city!" hahahaha. So that is what we did! :) Well we sent out a text to our families and told them that, with a picture of the outfit and the stuffed animal kitty. ha. So now you all know too! :)

SO so So Excited!!!!

I am so excited for tomorrow!
We find out the gender of our baby!!!
YAY!!
I can hardly stand it!
I can't believe it is already here!!
And I can't believe I am half way done with my pregnancy this week!!
Time flies!
haha.
I still haven't felt the baby kick, but I think I have felt it flutter a few times! :)
We love our cute baby so much already and can't wait to stop calling the baby an "it" and start calling the baby a "he" or "she" WOOHOO!! :D
And we can't wait until we get to meet our baby! :)
Any guesses on what you think it will be?? :)
Have a great Monday night and I will let you all know what the gender of our baby is ASAP! :D

Food and Thoughts

No pictures today, but some fun news.. I am 18 weeks and my baby is the size of a bell pepper.. approximately 5 1/2 inches long from head to bum and is 7 ounces!! YAY!! :) Hopefully I will be able to feel this baby SOON!! I am getting SO anxious!! :)
Speaking of my pregnancy.. I had been craving cinnamon rolls for a while, but I went to make them and I didn't really want to make mashed potatoes because my yummy recipe calls for them, and so I found a recipe for Cinnamon Roll Cake from my new cookbook I got for Easter! :) I made the cake and it was so good, but it didn't satisfy my craving for cinnamon rolls, so I gave some of the cake to a couple neighbors to leave us with only a couple pieces left, because I would have died if ate that whole cake to myself! hahaha. Well and Austin too. haha. So yesterday I made cinnamon rolls and only ate a bite sized piece to satisfy my craving and then I froze the other 3 1/2 dozens cinnamon rolls! hahaha. Ya now I will be stocked up on those yummy things until probably after I have my baby! haha. :)
Also from the cookbook I got I made sweet and sour chicken and it was seriously SO SO good!! And I made some steak fries from it too!! Oh man.. That cookbook was a good but dangerous gift! hahaha. :)
Oh and for the mashed potatoes, I made Shepard's Pie and made extra mashed potatoes and then it was perfect for the cinnamon rolls. Because Aust refuses to eat instant mashed potatoes.. haha. He cracks me up, but I guess that is how a potato farmer would feel. haha. :)
So as you can tell, I have been pretty into food lately. haha. And I am still loving eggs in my pregnancy ha. Aust said the other day to me, "Man I am so glad you are done with school because I love when you make food like this and keep the house clean." :) He always knows how to make me feel good!

Now onto another note, my heart breaks for everything that has happened lately, from the Boston Bombing, to the fertilizer explosion in Texas, to the sinkholes. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved and the families.
Since all of this has been happening, it has just made me so grateful for what I have been blessed with, and it makes me just want to make sure that all my family and friends knows how much I love them and how much they mean to me. I have been blessed with the most wonderful husband and our cute little baby which we find out what it is at the end of this month!! :) I am so grateful for my family, I have really been blessed in that part. I am grateful for this beautiful state I live in, and I am grateful for the wonderful people that I come in contact with from day to day. In the midst of all these sad events, we need to remember all those wonderful people that are helping others in these events. I am so grateful for all the selfless people in this country! It makes me sad to hear about these people that just have a change of heart and want to hurt others. I don't know what would cause them to want to hurt others, but it just shows that when there are people like that and they hurt others, the good come together and and become Christlike.
I hope you all have a great weekend! I will be BBQing with Aust, my sister-in-law Hailey, and her boyfriend! :)
